Medical Pearls from the Internet Medical Association


In the study of U.S. college students, excessive internet use was found to be associated with sleep deprivation, academic under-achievement, poor exercise habits, decreased face-to-face interactions, depression, and decreased concentration. Depression, boredom and stress were common triggers of intensive Internet use in this group.
