Medical Pearls from the Internet Medical Association

Both material and psychological aspects affect subjective well-being. We should not disregard economic gains and focus exclusively on psychological aspects, as both measures are essential to well-being.

Comment: This global study found that both the material and spiritual world affect subjective well being. Since we appear to make better decisions when we put the spiritual aspect of a decision first, always prioritize the spiritual effect first. So first make a good spiritual decision, then maximize the positive economic effects of you spiritual decision. On a societal level this means that concepts such as freedom and liberty are more important to the subjective well being of our community than are material goods. However, material well being does appear to be important in subjective well being, so consider both aspects.
