OLIGURIA: roughly speaking, oliguria is defined as a urine output of less than 1 mL/kg/h in infants, less than 0.5 mL/kg/h in children, and less than 500 mL per 24h in adults (http://bit.ly/1Cg3sLz). The clinical goal can vary, but often is in the range of 0.5 to 1.0 ml/kg/hr.
