Per 5 unit increase in BMI, this study found that there was a 21% increased risk of fetal death; 24% increased risk of stillbirth; and an increased risk of neonatal (15%), perinatal (16%), and infant death (18%). The lowest risk was found in women with a BMI of 20, second lowest risk for women with a BMI of 25, and highest risk in women with a BMI of 30.
