For adults > 18y, screen for alcohol misuse, depression, hypertension, and obesity (frequency not set). Recommend aspirin for men 45 to 80 and women 55 to 80 years old if potential benefit of reducing myocardial infarction outweighs potential harm from GI bleeding. Screen asymptomatic adults for diabetes if their sustained BP is > 135/80. Give counseling as appropriate for age for accidental injury.
