This study found that pregabalin appears as effective as pramipexole in treating restless legs syndrome. However, iatrogenic worsening was much less with pregabalin compared to 0.5 mg of pramipexole.

Comment: This study raises the question of whether or not gabapentin, a similar compound to pregabalin, would have similar positive effects upon restless legs syndrome, but with fewer adverse effects compared to pramipexole.
