These authors found that the key dimensions of trust in health care were centered around perceived competence of the system, assurance of treatment irrespective of ability to pay or at any time of the day, the patient's willingness to accept limitations of health care, loyalty to the physician, and respect for the physician. In addition, comfort with the physician, comfort with the health facility, the personal involvement of the physician with the patient, and economic factors were factors related to level of trust in health care.
